800mph supersonic jet car E-mail

800mph supersonic jet car for the fearless
Here is a jet car that aims to bring the Land speed record right back to the Americans. To do that, Ted Shadle and Keith Zanghi have come together to create the North American Eagle jet car. For this, the duo and their team have taken a 42500 horsepower engine from a scrapped 1957 Lockheed F-104 Starfighter jet and have plonked it right into the North American Eagle’s rear.

This, they hope, will give them enough thrust to break the magical 800mph barrier and reclaim the land speed record. The jet car uses aluminium wheels and binges on a whopping 160 gallons of fuel every minute. This translates to a cost of $18000 for every single run. Money apart, the Jet Car now has a new problem. It doesn’t have a pilot, er, driver to drive it along the Black Rock desert’s scorched surfaces to reclaim the record. For this, the team have advertised for good looking drivers between the ages of 20 and 40 to man this scorching machine.

Drivers have to be photogenic to attract some cash and a little controversy and importantly should also have some real talent to hang on in the Jet Car at supersonic speeds. If you think you have the stuff to drive the Jet Car, get in touch with the team, with a 400 word photo resume. GodSpeed!
